words are my language

Documentary. An elegiac film portrait of Mark Fischer, the North East's premier poet and thinker, as he struggles to find the bon mots. You try thinking of a rhyme for "squirrel". A fitting memorial to Mr Fischer, who died soon after filming was complete. [Download the screenplay]

Words Are My Language is apparently available to buy on the first Poetry Film DVD, along with a bunch of other "film poems" by such people as Billy Childish and well-known media whore Lewis Carroll, which is nice, although the bastards a) never asked for permission and b) never even sent us a copy so we can't really recommend it.

RUNNING TIME: 4min 34secs approx.
